ENERGY STAR Home & EPA Indoor AirPlus Certification
Homes that earn the ENERGY STAR Home designation must meet the US EPA's guidelines for energy efficiency. Homes that qualify for the ENERGY STAR designation are 15% more efficient than homes built to the International Residential Code of 2004. These homes usually have several energy efficient features, including more effective insulation, air-tight construction and ductwork, high performance windows and doors, efficient heating/cooling systems and Energy Star lighting and appliances. These features not only improve comfort but lower energy consumption, reduce carbon emissions and improve indoor air quality.
ESG Energy's building performance specialists will work with new or existing construction to provide the required third-party verification of your building. An independent inspection after work has been completed will assure that the home meets the strict standards for ENERGY STAR Home certification.
