Commercial Energy Management and Sustainability Solutions

Utility Audit. The first step to making energy and sustainability decisions is an audit of your current costs to plug the holes left by your utility providers. Through analysis of utility bill data for accuracy, ESG Energy is likely to identify errors and regulatory loopholes that can save thousands of dollars each month.

Building Audit. The next step to ensure energy efficiency is to complete ESG Energy's Commercial Building Audit Form, or CBAF. This 6-page self-audit document is designed for owners, office managers, facility managers, custodial staff and engineers who want to learn how to improve the energy efficiency and cut costs for a commercial or municipal building. Click here to learn more.

The final step is an onsite Energy Audit by an accredited energy analyst, also known as a BPI Building Analyst. The audit will identify how to plug the holes left by the building and mechanical contractors. Specially trained to understand the complex interactions between mechanical systems, utility use and the building envelope, a building analyst is uniquely qualified to diagnose key issues that can affect durability, energy efficiency, safety and overall health. Once they have uncovered a problem, the analyst will prescribe upgrades you can make to improve the comfort and quality of your building as well as save you money on future utility bills.

Does the analyst also install the recommended upgrades?

To avoid a conflict of interest, ESG Energy does not install upgrades they may be assessing. We are third-party assessors and verifiers, only.

An energy audit from one of ESG Energy's analysts can help your business:

  • save money on energy costs
  • have a more comfortable building (leading to more productive employees)
  • reduce carbon emissions and help earn a green certification
  • obtain a business loan
  • qualify for tax credits

ESG Energy will employ some of the same diagnostic tools at your property as are used during the energy rating process for certifying a LEED commercial property for the US Green Building Council or an ENERGY STAR building for the EPA.
